REALITY CHECK: What is your health worth? Is it worth $10,000, $100,000? How about a MILLION DOLLARS? What would it mean if you didn’t have your health? Well, you probably wouldn’t be sitting in front of your computer right now. You’d probably be lying in a hospital bed – or worse. I just happen to have a check made out to me – Rose Miller – for one million dollars. This is a REALITY CHECK – and you can believe me when I say I wouldn’t cash it. TURN AWAY TODAY : This is a conscience decision to stop yourself before you touch the tempting food. STOP and ask yourself - Am I hungry? – The chances are, you are not !! Create a positive alternative behavior such as, call a friend, go for a walk, do something productive to get your mind off the temptations.

JAW BREAKER IDEAS: Pop a jawbreaker in your mouth when you come home if you’re tempted to snack or while you cook. It takes approximately 20 minutes for a jawbreaker to dissolve, by that time your meal should be ready. Please share with us your “jawbreaker ideas” or “turn away today".

“SEE” YOURSELF FIT: Before each meal, take a few minutes and find a quiet place, close your eyes and relax. Vi sualize yourself sitting down and eating a healthy meal. Begin by eating your Focused & Fit Foods first, eating slowly and then stopping when you are satisfied, but before you are full. Self-transformation only takes a few minutes, but is highly effective. ONE STEP AT A TIME: Can you commit to one step at a time? If you have been inactive, start slowly – 10 min. a day – gradually increasing to a minimum of 30 min. a day – 6 days a week of aerobics and strength training.

Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness.
